Most major Medical Plans include coverage for complications of pregnancy and childbirth. Insurance coverage for prenatal expenses and child birth are usually not covered unless an additional pregnancy rider is purchased. The rider usually has a graded benefit combined with a limited amount of coverage and you may not receive a benefit prior to satisfaction a waiting period.
